Books I Finished This Week:
This is the fourth book I have read by Lisa Unger. The last two books were much better than the first two in my opinion. This one was a really gripping thriller. I was riveted the whole time and really wanted to know what actually happened. If you like mysteries, this is a great one to read.
I just finished listening to Sapphire Blue. I love how these books have a mix of science fiction and humor. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times while listening to this book. I am really interested in reading the last book in the trilogy as soon as I can get my hands on it. I highly recommend this one.
More Than This is a very complex and thought-provoking book. As I expect of Patrick Ness, he really made me think about many aspects of life. I don’t think I liked this one as much as I loved all of his other books, but I still liked it a lot. I think I will be thinking about this one for a while.
I need to read the last of Gier's trilogy as well. I really enjoyed the other two. I really enjoyed The Monstrumologist when I read it a couple years ago, I never finished that series either. I Am the Messenger is one of my all time favorite books, highly recommend it!
The Monster Report
I'm listening to I Am the Messenger on audio right now and really liking it. I bought the new Patrick Ness as soon as it came out…. and it's been gathering dust on a shelf ever since. So many great books I want to read! I still need to finish the Chaos Walking series, but I want to reread the first two before reading the third. I think I need more reading time!
Very jealous that you got to read Sapphire Blue and More Than This–I NEED to read them both. I loved Ruby Red and everything else Patrick Ness has written.
Enjoy Monstrumologist. SUPER creepy book!
Happy reading this week 🙂
Hi there Andrea, I am jealous that you've already finished reading More than This – I own a copy of it but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Hopefully before the year ends. I am also excited to read The Crane wife. 🙂
